About us
St Barnabas Hospice is a local independent charity and every year they support more than 9,000 people across Lincolnshire. They deliver free, high-quality, compassionate end-of-life care and support to adults living with a life-limiting or terminal illness, their family and carers.
St Barnabas offers the patient and their family hospice care and support via: specialist in-patient care, community ‘hospice at home’ service, day therapy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy & complementary therapy, welfare advice & support and bereavement support. All the services are free.
St Barnabas needs to raise over £5.5m a year to provide its support and care. Over 1,000 volunteers play a crucial role in the charity’s success.”

If you are looking for a role in retail with additional responsibility, this is for you. You’ll support the Shop Manager to run the shop, learn to understand charity retail and its processes.
You will support with the collection, distribution and organisation of our charity collection boxes.As this role will require you to drive your own vehicle, you will be able to claim to cover your expenses so that you are not out of pocket.
You will raise awareness of the diverse range of care and support St. Barnabas provides to those in your local communities and help to raise funds to support our hospice care by attending and representing us at community activities and encouraging others to hold events in support of us.
You will help us to raise hospice funds through a variety of events and initiatives including working with schools, local fundraising groups and attending our Hospice led events.
You will help to raise hospice funds through supporting our Fundraising Team. Admin support for our events and Individual Giving Teams is vital to get information out to our supporters and event participants.
We are looking for volunteers that enjoy being creative and are willing to take a shared responsibility in supporting in our creative wellbeing group on either a weekly or fortnightly basis, lasting 2 hours. You will provide a safe, friendly environment for group members to meet, share your creativity within the group supporting making memories and managing emotions through creative activities.
Bereavement happens for a variety of reasons and having the ability to offer the emotional support through a non judgmental listening ear can be challenging but also very rewarding allowing people to work through the stages of bereavement in their own way, people may be struggling with more complex grief due to not being able to say goodbye to their loved one.
BEAM Café - Building Engagement Around Mental Health The BEAM café offers a safe space for anyone in the community who is experiencing challenges with their mental health and wellbeing.
