About us

The Maypole Project provides a lifeline of support for children with complex and life threatening illnesses and their whole family; aiming to relieve and help preserve the mental and physical well-being of children and young people who have complex medical needs. We provide a range of support services to all members of the family from diagnosis through treatment and beyond.

Volunteering opportunities

Holiday Activity and Outings Support Volunteer

Support the organisation and delivery of activity days and outings for children with complex medical needs and their siblings.

Inclusive Activities Club Volunteer

The Maypole Project Orpington Onsite Weekdays +1

Support children and young people with complex medical needs and special educational needs (and their siblings) at our inclusive activity clubs.

Youth Club Volunteer

Youth Club Volunteers assist the Activities Lead to deliver our youth club for young people with complex medical needs and their siblings

Sensory Centre Support Volunteer

The Maypole Project Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Southwark Onsite Weekends +1

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can help us to support families with children with complex medical needs by helping families access and use our Sensory Centre in Orpington.

Fundraising Volunteer
