To celebrate the launch of the vinvolved volunteering programme, The Enemy and friends rocked the 1940s themed v day Ballroom Blitz party at the Bloomsbury Ballroom, London. The Rumble Strips, The Thirst, Martina Topley Bird, Bloc Party and XFM DJ Dave Berry all did their bit to prove that community spirit is still alive and kicking in 2008. The gig marked the launch of the vinvolved volunteering programme.
Hundreds of volunteers and competition winners rubbed shoulders with the talent at the intimate gig, enjoying free makeovers and posing for Polaroid pictures between the acts.
So, we've laid on one of this summer's most glamorous events, and it doesn't end there. We’ve five exclusive Ballroom Blitz t-shirts signed by all the bands... and we're giving them away to vinspired.com members. Plus, dozens of runners-up will get a limited edition t-shirt. Terms & conditions
- Competition open to England residents aged 16-25, excluding v20 members, employees of v and their relatives and agents.
- One entry person.
- Closing date is midnight on Wednesday 28 May.
One winner for each event will be chosen at random and informed by email on Friday 30 May. - Winners’ signed t-shirts will be sent by recorded delivery and runners’ up t-shirts will be sent by first class post to the postal address submitted with your entry within 14 days of Friday 30 May.
- The prize: 5 winners will win a v day Ballroom Blitz t-shirt signed by the bands. 80 runners up will receive a v day Ballroom Blitz t-shirt.
- Prizes are as stated and are non transferable. There are no cash alternatives.
- The Promoter reserves the right to amend, extend or terminate this competition at any time and for any reason whatsoever.
- The promoter reserves the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value, should those advertised become unavailable for any reason.
