Coaching at two local football clubs to develop the ability of youngsters.

Volunteers teach ICT skills to the local community. We want to help them gain the skills which may ultimately lead to better job prospects. This project is part of new deal for communities.
- Best moment: Getting to know people from the local community
- Worst moment: I really don't know
- Lessons learnt: Learning to interact with a whole array of people
- What next: I would like to continue till the project ends
- Would like to be: A business man
- Would not like to be: An accountant
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Buy my own island

St John Ambulance is a organisation that provides first aid and care cover for a range of occasions all over the world.
- Best moment: Joining St John Ambulance
- Worst moment: Can't think of any!
- Lessons learnt: If you help somebody they will / can probably help you
- What next: Achieve and help more people within St John Ambulance
- Would like to be: No, love to be a nurse and in St John Ambulance a County Nursing Officer
- Would not like to be: Unhappy with what I do
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Donate 1/4 to help with funding for our division in St John Ambulance, and share most of it with my family!!
- Roles models / heroes: All of my friends!!
I currently volunteer at a youth club, that is, Rainbow Youth League, formerly known as African Youth League. This entails assisting the youth workers in creating activities for the young people that attend, serving snacks and basically making the young people's stay worthwhile.
- Best moment: MV Award Night. What a fantastic event that was!
- Worst moment: None so far
- Lessons learnt: Many... Time management, Team work, self motivation, use of initiative, hard work, maturity, commitment/dedication, passion, to mention but a few
- What next: More..more..and more volunteering, as well as focusing on my A-Levels
- Would like to be: A Medical Doctor for one and all my other desires trial after
- Would not like to be: Poor
- If I won a million pounds I'd: This is a hard question, I'm not quite sure
- Roles models / heroes: My parents
I help each Friday at Beavers - a section of the scouting movement for 6-8 year olds. We have 13 boys and 1 girl in the group. I also help at Scouts (10.5-14 yrs). I really enjoy both of these, it is great to see how the beavers and scouts develop in the group
- Best moment: Seeing them enjoy a game or activity that you have created, or are carrying out
- Worst moment: When they won’t be quiet and listen to you
- Lessons learnt: The scouting movement is a worthwhile organisation, and I can help young people to have fun and make friends, just as I did in the troop
- What next: Carry it on off course
I am volunteering on the Prince's Trust Team Programme, based in Walworth Rd. Its a 12 week personal development course for young people ages 16-25yrs. My role is to support the team leader and the students i.e. plan lesson and activites with team leader or helping a student with work or a personal issue.
- Best moment: During the 12 weeks we have 2 residential. My best moment was on the residential after we did board breaking
- Worst moment: The 1st week of the course when a student thought I was challenging her view
- Lessons learnt: You need to have tolerance and understanding to work with young people
- What next: More voluntary work and I intend to sign up to the the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award
- Would like to be: Not sure as to yet but I would like to work with young people
- Would not like to be: Stuck doing a boring office job,even though I am good at doing admin tasks
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Buy myself and my mother a big house
- Roles models / heroes: Vanessa Waite my college tutor and my mother because she is a very strong individual
I am working with 2 other young people to create a website for Young People in the Northamptonshire area, with details on local events and minutes from meetings. (www.northantscwyf.co.uk )
- Best moment: Seeing the website up on the Internet for the first time, with my name and picture
- Worst moment: Slow start to it
- Lessons learnt: Take time to do it
- What next: Hoping to gain sports coaching experience to work in Camp America for part of my Gap Year
- Would like to be: Teacher
- Run a Youth Club & do trips & work in schools
- Best moment: Winning the Regional MV of the Year Award 2006
- Worst moment: None
- What next: Everything & anything
- Would like to be: A Youth Leader that can go from region to region to help youths
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Donate it charity
I help out at a club for children from 5 to 11 years old, during in the summer holidays. I help out with the 7 year olds. It will be my fifth year this year doing it. I also, help out with the local youth group, which is connected to the Cherry Hinton Baptist Church.
- Best moment: I was nominated for MV of the year awards in the mentoring and befriending category. Which I'm really proud of, even though I didn't win
- Worst moment: Don't have one
- Lessons learnt: Lots of new skills, including, better at communicating with others, maths and just everything in general. My confidence has grown and I feel more able to do things without getting embarressed
- What next: Don't really, know yet. University maybe, or level 4 nvq in care
- Would like to be: A manager of a care home, or work with young children and teenagers changing lives for the better
- Would not like to be: A dancer
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Spend it on my family and my Church " Cherry Hinton Baptist Church"
- Roles models / heroes My Dad, The Lord, My Nan
Working at a radio station, with communication to the public about their veiws and opinions on topics, and play their favourite songs.
- Best moment: Was when I passed my Punjabi GCSE exam, because this was a huge benefit for the sort of career I was looking for
- Worst moment: Was when i failed in my end of term science exam, as i didn't realise it was the next day and i hadn't prepared myself for it
- Lessons learnt: Always be prepared and organise yourself for what is about to come whether it is a big exam or a big day
- What next: A the moment I am concentrating on my GCSE's, so no career decisions yet, but I will certainly look in to employment after my exams during the summer holidays
- Would like to be: Definitely a radio presenter in near future
- Would not like to be: I wouldn’t like to work in an office, or else I will get bored and it will certainly not be the career that I will enjoy
- If I won a million pounds I'd: I would use it to help my family in financial difficulities, and the rest I will give it to the charitities, because I believe that you should live on the money that you earn with your sweat and blood, not with the money you win

I would like to care for other people for example I would like to work in a rest home and care for the elderly and help them if they have any problems
- Best moment: I did a work experience at school it was really good I worked in a rest home
- Worst moment: Cleaning the toilets and making the beds
- Lessons learnt: Get on with other other
- What next: Do a catering course at college and then do a computer course
- Would like to be: A Care Assistant
- Would not like to be: A Vet
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Go on holiday and treat myself
- Roles models / heroes: Mum Dad Nan
I run my own Brownie unit and visit other youth groups to do peer education work with them- running workshops on everything from the environment to eating disorders to road safety.
- Best moment: Taking over my Brownie unit when I turned 18 and being an In4mer
- Worst moment: Trying to instill enthusiasm in other girls so they will join the peered intiative
- Lessons learnt: Always be prepared for people to surprise you!!
- What next: I would like to coordinate the peered intiative in my area and get my residential qualification
- Would like to be: A doctor specialising in mental health
- Would not like to be: Stuck in a boring office job
- If I won a million pounds I'd: Be very happy!!!
