Oxjam is an amazing idea - it's just what I'm looking for

To be part of music festival with high ambitions is just what I’m looking for. Oxjam is an amazing idea which I think will help many deprived areas of the world, and I feel really pleased to be involved in that.

I am a University student and therefore need a role that could help further my career in event management in the music industry. Hopefully, working with Oxjam will lead onto bigger things.

Last year was quite successful and, after organizing and tagging nearly 40 events, I wanted to take on a bigger role and then hopefully inspire other people to do something on a similar scale.

Like any job with a big responsibility, there will be times when it will get stressful, though there’s no job that I haven’t been in that hasn’t involved stress. I’m hoping it will be really busy and that I will encounter many challenges.

After Oxjam 2007, hopefully the team will be making plans for 2008 and that I will be in the loop in some capacity. As well as that, I hope to be in full swing of my career in events and audio production. Most importantly I hope people up and down the country will still be talking about Oxjam and how much of an effect its making. Who knows, the format of Oxjam may go international…
