My volunteering with deaf children and the community

My name is Stevie, I am 18 years old and volunteer with the vteam at Bolton Lads and Girls Club.

So far the vteam at Bolton has cleaned the River Croal which runs through Queen’s Park and also planted some small trees and plants and did a litter pick. We did this so the park would look nicer and more people would want to visit it.

I also volunteer with a group of deaf children on Friday evenings at the club. I find this really good and feel happy that I do volunteer as it makes me feel happy I am doing something useful with my time.
