Fancy yourself as a bit of a PR wiz, marketing genius or an event creator? Then do something about it by becoming one of the Agents4Change Community Catalyst.

Agents4Change are giving you the opportunity to volunteer full time in 21 regions around England as their Community Catalyst. You will be based in the local BBC Radio Station where it is up to you inspire and create volunteering and community events with the local 16-25 year old’s.

This means that you must promote, advertise, plug, create and encourage the 16-25’s in the region to get motivated. Working with local community organisations and the media, it is your responsibility to promote volunteering and create exciting volunteering opportunities that tackle real community issues that are led and inspired by young people.

This opportunity gives you the chance to meet a bucketload of different people in your area or if you fancy a move, Agents4Change will help you with accommodation if you want to change your bedroom view. Check out the details here


What Activities will you be doing?

● Organising a range of volunteering events involving young people at each event
● Introducing young people to local community organisations as part time volunteers.
● Referring young people to long term UK or overseas volunteering opportunities
● Planning and organising a national event at the end of the year

What kind of stuff will you have to do?

• You will have to achieve a good understanding of what is available in the area for new and potential volunteers.
• Identify key organisations and try to recruit them as core partners, recruit your own team to help promote volunteering.
• Raise awareness with local Tesco stores and arrange media coverage on BBC radio/BBC online/local media and on social networking websites such as Facebook and Bebo.
