The Young WhipperSNAPPER 2008 Photography Competition

The Young WhipperSNAPPER 2008 photography competition for young volunteers is now open and they have a bucketload of Nintendo goodies as prizes.

You can share the excitement of volunteering as well as leading the way in promoting it to other young people by entering the competition ran by the Youth Action Network.

This year’s competition ties into Youth Action Network’s DO YA!? campaign, with a call for entries that would encourage other young people to DO YOUTH ACTION; and/or showcase Youth Action projects already taking place.

Don’t fancy yourself as a budding photographer or have a camera bigger than your head? Not to worry because the Young WhipperSNAPPER competition is looking for quality images that showcases the benefits and fun of volunteering. It’s not how you take them, it’s what’s in them that counts. Check out some of the previous years entries.

The first prize winner will receive a Nintendo Wii as well as a canvas print of their image; second and third place prize winners will get their hands on a Nintendo DS! Plus, two runners up will each receive an iPod shuffle. And what’s more, the first 25 entrants are guaranteed to win a £15 HMV voucher!

Think you’ve taken an image that represents the difference your project has made or shows how much fun you have been having on your Youth Action project. Then send in your photo. You could be walking away with a Nintnedo Wii.

The deadline for entries is Friday 5 September.
