Free media training for volunteers from the Youth Action Network

Angelica, from last year's v20, at Rhubarb and Custard. ...Fancy yourself as a media mogul? Want to make a big noise about volunteering? Check out the Youth Action Network's Wired media training events. It won't cost you a bean!

Following on from the success of Rhubarb & Custard last year,Youth Action Network is offering young volunteers the chance the chance to attend one of three free media training events in Birmingham, Leeds and London. Rhubarb and Custard was a big hit with last year's v20, so we reckon these events should be well worth checking out.

Youth Action Network is on the look out for young volunteers who want to become Youth Action media ambassadors, to help to generate media interest around Youth Action.

The network is looking for young people (aged 16-25) who are passionate about their volunteering and want to help us to encourage other young people to get involved through word of mouth and the use of new media…

Three events will run from 10am till 4.30pm each day and will take place on:
  • Tuesday 24 July 2007 – Living Golf, Birmingham
  • Thursday 26 July 2007 – Playhouse, Leeds
  • Monday 30 July 2007 – Diana Rooms, London
You do not need any previous media experience... All you need is the enthusiasm and commitment to help us spread the love for Youth Action!

Only 15 places are available at each event, so if you are interested, check out the Youth Action Network site, sharpish!
