Can I apply for more than one project through vcashpoint?
You can submit one application for each round of vcashpoint. However, as vcashpoint only funds new or development projects, you can only receive funding for a specific project once. If you submit subsequent applications, these should be for different projects or for a development project – that is, a project that has been carried out once in the past, where you want to develop the idea further and involve new volunteers.

You can only submit ONE application per round of vcashpoint. Applicants that have applied for funding for different projects in different rounds must ensure that project timetables do not overlap.

How much money can I apply to vcashpoint for?
The total cost of a vcashpoint project cannot be above £2,500. v believes that most small youth-led short-term projects can be completed within an average value of £1,500. If you strongly believe that your project requires more than £1,500 funding, you will have to complete the “extra funding” section of the application form. Here you will have to demonstrate why your projects will cost more why you can’t access cheaper or free alternatives and you will also have to reflect this in your budget break down.

When can vcashpoint projects take place?
vcashpoint projects must be completed within 6 months from the project start date. Projects can only start after the “First Payment” date for the round applied for.

What won’t vcashpoint fund?
vcashpoint will not fund:

Organisations or Youth Workers
Projects that already exist and are seeking funding to extend the project
Projects that have been funded by vcashpoint in a previous round
Salaries or fees
Part-funding of larger projects – vcashpoint must be the only funding of the project

Projects cannot raise funds from the activity of the project – this includes charging a fee to participants, selling goods or services or raising funds for other charities, organisations or activities.

If a project has budgeted for a celebration or recognition event for the volunteers, this budget item cannot account for more that 5% for the overall project cost.

What projects will vcashpoint fund?
The volunteering project must either be new or a development project – that is, a project that has been carried out once in the past, where the applicant wants to develop the idea further and involve new volunteers. vcashpoint must be the only source of funding for the project. However you are encouraged to seek in-kind contributions from individuals and organisations. If the young person applying for funding is a Youth Worker the project must have no link to their area of work and must be carried out outside of their working hours. vcashpoint projects must involve at least three volunteers aged 16-25 in addition to the applicant.
