The Adult Literacy Trust provide adults with one-to-one support to improve their reading skills and confidence, as a complement to formal education provision, ensuring that individuals who wish to improve their literacy skills receive the help they need to become successful readers, and to increase their life chances.

By providing personalised 1-1 support in basic reading skills, our Volunteer Reading Coaches support the delivery of literacy learning, boosting the confidence of adult learners whilst helping them develop better reading skills and practices, and motivating them to continue with their education.
